Lütfi Arıboğan — Biography
Lutfi Arıboğan (born 30 September 1961) is a Turkish sports administrator and former basketball player. On his birthplace Wikidata and Turkish Wikipedia say Adana, French Wikipedia Ankara; the majority favours Adana. He is 1.98 m tall and played as a forward.
He played for Çukobirlik, Ankara DSİ, Efes Pilsen, Galatasaray and Ülkerspor across a span English Wikipedia gives as 1971-1996, junior years included; he won 243 caps for Turkish national teams and captained Galatasaray for six seasons. He then spent eight years as Ülkerspor's general manager, became general secretary of the Turkish Football Federation in 2005, and held federation posts including deputy president until January 2012. In June 2012 he became chief executive of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş., serving until October 2014.
In December 2025 he was one of four figures called to testify in an investigation into Turkish football's alleged match-fixing conspiracy case, reported by Hürriyet, Bianet and others. He denied the claims, and all four were released without arrest. Wikidata lists his spouse as Deniz Ülke Kaynak; English Wikipedia refers in the past tense to his marriage to academic Deniz Ülke Arıboğan.
