Levin Öztunalı — Biography
Born on 15 March 1996 in Hamburg, Levin Mete Öztunalı is a German footballer of Turkish descent who plays as an attacking midfielder. After seven years coming through the Hamburger SV academy, he made his professional debut with Bayer Leverkusen in 2013, making 15 league appearances there. Two years later he moved to Werder Bremen on a season-and-a-half loan; once that loan ended in 2016 he signed for Mainz, where he spent five seasons. He joined Union Berlin in 2021 before returning to his boyhood club Hamburg in 2023.
Öztunalı represented Germany at multiple youth levels, forming part of the squads that won the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, and he made 30 appearances with seven goals for the German under-21 side.
