Levent Açıkgöz — Biography

Levent Açıkgöz, born 4 January 1971 in Zonguldak, is a retired Turkish footballer and football manager who played as a defender. He began his playing career at Kardemir Karabükspor in 1990 and went on to represent numerous clubs across Turkey, including Turhalspor, Kocaelispor, Diyarbakırspor, Giresunspor, Zeytinburnuspor, Ağrıspor, İzmitspor, Boluspor and Çankırıspor.

After retiring as a player, Açıkgöz moved into coaching and took charge of Ümraniyespor in October 2025. As the club’s head coach, he repeatedly emphasized the goal of avoiding relegation in his public remarks, and said the team was aiming to be in a stronger position heading into the following season.
