Levent Açıkgöz — Biography
Levent Açıkgöz is a Turkish football figure closely tied to Kardemir Karabükspor, who moved from playing to coaching. As a defender he played in the Süper Lig and the First League, and he then turned to coaching. He is currently in charge of Ümraniyespor.
He began his professional career in 1990 at Kardemir Karabükspor, then played in turn for Turhalspor, Kocaelispor, Diyarbakırspor, Giresunspor, Zeytinburnuspor, Ağrıspor, İzmitspor, Boluspor and Çankırıspor.
He began coaching at Karabükspor too. He mostly worked with the youth side; he took over the team as caretaker several times when previous managers left, and in early 2018 he was referred to as the club's head coach. In October 2025 he took charge of Ümraniyespor. The team's aim in 2025-26 was to stay in the league; in April 2026 he said they had largely secured their place and that they wanted to start next season from a better position.
