Koray Şanlı — Biography
Born in Mersin, defender Koray Şanlı came out of the Beşiktaş youth system and went on to play for Adanaspor in the First League and Yeni Malatyaspor in the Second League. With Yeni Malatyaspor he won the 2014-15 Second League White Group title, and he made 27 appearances for Turkey's youth national teams.
He began in amateur sides in Istanbul. In 2005, at the age of 15, he joined Beşiktaş at amateur level and represented the club in the A2 League, then known as the PAF League. In 2007-08 he was named in the senior team's matchday squads several times but never got into the starting eleven. He transferred to Akçaabat Sebatspor in 2008-09, a season later signed a three-year contract with Adanaspor, and played for that club in the First League for four seasons. At the start of 2013-14 he moved to Yeni Malatyaspor in the Second League; the club and the player parted ways in January 2016.
In later years he agreed to join Diyarbekirspor in June 2017, joined Tarsus İdman Yurdu in the summer of 2018 and had his contract with that club terminated in November 2018. He last played for Batman Petrolspor. For Turkey he appeared 14 times at U-18 level and 13 times at U-19 level, scoring twice in those matches.
