Kerem Kupacı — Biography

Playing Keramettin Güçverir in the series Hayat Bilgisi gave Turkish television and film actor Kerem Kupacı his best-known role, along with the nickname "Pikaçu" among viewers. He came to acting from television commercials and, over a career of more than two decades, has appeared in many series and films; in recent years he has appeared in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam and Kısmet.

He graduated from the theatre acting department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1999-2000 he appeared in commercials for Şekerbank, Demirbank and Algida, and his first series work included Dikkat Bebek Var, Evimiz Olacak mı?, Mahallenin Muhtarları and Baba Evi. In cinema he played the bugler Borazancı in Kahpe Bizans and Muzaffer in the television film Çilekli Pasta. His breakthrough came with Hayat Bilgisi (2003-2006), followed by Elveda Rumeli, Hayal ve Gerçek, Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti and Rina. In 2010-2011 he played Rıfat Sancaklı in TRT 1's Elde Var Hayat, and Gelmeyen Bahar, Ali Ayşe'yi Seviyor, Bedel, Kırgın Çiçekler, Kalk Gidelim and the film Kaygı are among his later credits.

In 2022-2023 he played Ethem in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam and in 2023 Cevdet in Kısmet. In April 2021 it was reported that he had moved to London and begun giving online theatre lessons to young actors. In 2024 he married his partner, a lawyer.
