Kerem İnan — Biography

Kerem İnan is a former goalkeeper who was in the Galatasaray squad during the club's finest European season and is known as the understudy to Cláudio Taffarel. He began at Galatasaray, played for the club around the turn of the millennium and was in the team that won the UEFA Cup in 1999-2000 and the UEFA Super Cup in 2000. After retiring he worked as a goalkeeping coach and a pundit.

With Galatasaray he was part of squads that won two Süper Lig titles (1999-2000 and 2001-02) and two Turkish Cups (1998-99 and 1999-2000). He later pulled on the shirts of Etimesgut Şekerspor, Karşıyaka, Çaykur Rizespor, Samsunspor and Mersin İdmanyurdu. From 2009-10 he kept goal for Mersin İdmanyurdu, who won the First League in 2010-11 and rose to the Süper Lig; at the end of that season his contract was not extended once Beşiktaş's Hakan Arıkan was signed. In 2012-13 he moved to the First League side Şanlıurfaspor and ended his career there.

At youth level he represented Turkey with the under-17, under-18 and under-21 national teams. In July 2016 he was brought in as Taffarel's assistant in goalkeeper coaching. In later years his assessments of Galatasaray and derby matches appeared in the sports press.
