Kerem Aktürkoğlu — Biography

Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu (born 21 October 1998, İzmit) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays on the left wing and is a regular member of the Turkey national team. He entered the Gölcükspor academy at age thirteen, later moved through Hisareynspor and, from 2015, İstanbul Başakşehir's youth setup, turning professional a year later. After a loan spell at Bodrumspor and productive lower-league seasons with Karacabey Belediyespor and 24 Erzincanspor, he signed for Galatasaray on a free transfer in 2020.

Over four seasons at Galatasaray he rose to become one of the club's captains, winning the Süper Lig title and topping the league's assist charts in 2022-23, then adding a second championship the following season. He moved to Portuguese giants Benfica in September 2024, and after a season there joined Fenerbahçe in September 2025. Aktürkoğlu made his senior national team debut in 2021 and has since been part of Turkey's squads for the 2020 and 2024 European Championships and the 2026 World Cup.

In the summer of 2026 he became the subject of intense transfer speculation over his future at Fenerbahçe, with reports of a high-value offer for his services and of the player deciding to leave, amid reported interest from Saudi Arabia. In his personal life during the same period, Aktürkoğlu became a father in July 2026.
