Kemal Serdar — Biography

Kemal Serdar was born on 8 May 1962 in Trabzon, into a fishing family like many residents of the province. A defender by trade, he spent many years with Trabzonspor, making 357 top-flight league appearances for the club — the third-most in its history, behind only Hami Mandıralı and Turgay Semercioğlu.

Toward the end of his playing career he captained Trabzonspor for roughly four years, earning him the nickname "Kaptan Kemal" (Captain Kemal) among supporters and cementing his place as one of the club's most significant figures. After retiring as a player, Serdar also moved into coaching, and he remains a respected name within the Trabzonspor community to this day.
