Kemal Okyay — Biography
Kemal Okyay is a left-sided player from Kayseri, who scored a penalty in the final of Kayserispor's 2007-08 Turkish Cup triumph. A winger who could also play on the left of defence and midfield, he studied at Erciyes University.
He began playing in 1999-2000 with Kayseri İl Özel İdaresispor, moved from there to the Kayserispor academy and turned professional in 2003. He started to win a place in the squad under Ertuğrul Sağlam, and made a name for himself with stoppage-time goals against Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. In 2007-08 he was part of the team that won the Turkish Cup and scored a crucial penalty in the final.
From the 2008-09 season he played for Kayseri Erciyesspor, and on 28 June 2009 he signed a three-year contract with Manisaspor. In the summer of 2010 an agreement with Adanaspor was announced but the transfer never happened, and he moved to Kayseri Erciyesspor in the First League. At the 2012-13 mid-season break he agreed to join Nazilli Belediyespor, and before 2013-14 he went to TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor. As a young player he won five caps for the Turkey under-20 side.
