Kaya Peker — Biography

Kaya Peker (born 2 August 1980 in Ankara) is a Turkish former professional basketball player who played at the center position. Sources give his height as between 2.07 and 2.08 m.

He began his professional career in 1996 with Trabzonspor. In the years that followed he played for several of Turkey's leading clubs, among them Anadolu Efes, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Tofaş and Türk Telekom, and his time at Anadolu Efes places him among the figures associated with the club's European Final Four campaigns.

He also represented the Turkish national team, and after retiring as a player he remained a familiar voice commenting on Turkish basketball.
