Kamil Ahmet Çörekçi — Biography

Kâmil Ahmet Çörekçi was born in London on 1 February 1992 into a Turkish Cypriot family. A right-back, he is 1.73 metres tall. He started in the Fulham youth system and was spotted early by Turkey's youth teams. He stayed at Fulham until 2008, then moved to Millwall but was not promoted to the senior side there. Like many Turkish players raised in Europe, he decided to try his luck in Turkey.

He joined Bucaspor at the start of 2010-11 and played his first professional match on 28 November 2010. In December 2011 he parted with the club and signed for Kayserispor, was later loaned to Adana Demirspor, and in early 2014 signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Eskişehirspor, reaching the 2013-14 Turkish Cup final with them. In May 2019 he signed a new two-year contract with Trabzonspor, with whom he won the 2019-20 Turkish Cup and the 2020 Turkish Super Cup. In June 2021 he moved to Hatayspor.

At youth level he represented Turkey in several age groups from under-16 to under-21, and his performances at the 2011 UEFA European Under-19 Championship earned him a place in the tournament's team. In January 2026 he left Hatayspor and signed for Süper Lig club Kasımpaşa.
