Kamber Arslan — Biography

Kamber Arslan is a former footballer from Kayseri who played as a holding midfielder and is best known for his loyalty to Kayserispor. He said he would play for free if necessary to keep wearing the number 38 shirt, describing it as an unwritten pledge to the club. He ended his active career at Körfez Spor Kulübü in 2011.

He began playing at 17 with Kayseri Sağlıkspor. His professional career started at Kayseri Elektrikspor, he joined Kayserispor's reserve side in 2001, and after three years there he was called up to the first team. From the 2004-05 season he was a regular in Kayserispor's defensive midfield; in his time with the club he scored 4 goals and received 16 yellow cards and 1 red.

In the second half of his career he took care not to leave his home city: he signed with Kayseri Erciyesspor, agreed a deal with Süper Lig side Antalyaspor in the second half of 2008-09, and then came back to Kayseri. After the 2009-10 season, which he also spent at struggling Kayseri Erciyesspor, he moved to Körfez Spor Kulübü in 2011 and said goodbye to professional football.
