Kağan Söylemezgiller — Biography
Kağan Söylemezgiller (born 4 March 1988 in Bad Cannstatt, Stuttgart) is a German-born Turkish former footballer. He holds Turkish and German nationality, is listed at 1.79 m and played as an attacking midfielder.
Raised in Germany, Söylemezgiller spent most of his career in Turkey. He joined Kardemir Karabükspor at the end of 2011, signed for Çaykur Rizespor in the summer of 2013 and moved to Şanlıurfaspor in 2018. In a 2011 interview comparing German and Turkish football he attributed the German edge to tactical discipline.
In the summer of 2011 he was referred to court alongside Emre Belözoğlu as part of an investigation built on telephone intercepts; reporting that December indicated the message at the centre of the case had been established as a joke.
