Kadir Bekmezci is a Turkish-Belgian footballer, born on July 5, 1985, in Seraing, Belgium, to a family of Turkish descent from Zonguldak. Standing 1.83 meters tall, he has played mainly as a midfielder, starting his career at Standard Liège and other Belgian clubs before moving to Turkey, where he represented sides including Antalyaspor, Sivasspor, and Elazığspor.
He spent the longest and most productive stretch of his career at Sivasspor, making more than 180 Süper Lig appearances for the club — a club record — and at one point serving as team captain.
