Jankat Yılmaz — Biography

Jankat Yılmaz is a young goalkeeper who came up through Galatasaray's academy. His path ran from amateur football in Antalya to Galatasaray, and at the end of summer 2026 he took Uğurcan Çakır's place in the starting line-up for a Süper Lig match against Göztepe.

He started in the Akdeniz Kartalları academy in 2015 and signed an amateur contract with Galatasaray on 22 September 2017. In 2019 he was in goal for the side that lost the U16 final 1-0 to Ankaragücü in Antalya. He moved up to the U19 side in 2021-22 and played 36 league matches. His professional contract began on 1 July 2022 and was extended on 25 January 2023; it was later renewed to the end of the 2026-27 season.

In later years he played on loan: at the start of 2024-25 he went to Adanaspor in the second tier, played 12 league matches and was recalled by Galatasaray in January 2025. In September 2025 he was loaned to Süper Lig side Eyüpspor until the end of the season. With Galatasaray he won the Süper Lig in 2022-23 and 2023-24, the Super Cup in 2023 and the Turkish Cup in 2024-25.
