Jack Habib — Biography
Jack Habib (also recorded as Jak Habib or Habib Habip) was a Turkish basketball player of Jewish descent, born on 26 April 1912 in Istanbul. Playing as a defender and shooting guard, he was part of the Turkish squad at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the first Games in which basketball featured as an official medal sport.
He died on 9 February 1995 in his native Istanbul, closing out a life largely spent in the city where his basketball career began.
