İzzet Akgül — Biography

Izzet Akgül (born 28 January 1982 in Namur) is a Turkish former footballer who also holds Belgian citizenship. He played as a striker.

One of the most notable chapters of his career came in 2008, when he joined Denizlispor as the club's new striker. His time there was interrupted when an injury in January 2009 ended his season early.

In later years he played for Gümüşhanespor, competing with the club in the Turkish second division during the 2013–14 season. He subsequently ended his playing career.
