İsmet Ergün — Biography

İsmet Ergün was born in 1950 in Konya and built her career as a painter and stage designer in Berlin. She has worked mainly as a set designer in theatre, while also taking on roles as an art director and production designer within the film industry.

She is best known for the short film "Bende Sıra", which she both wrote and directed. The film earned a commendation at the 2007 Locarno Film Festival, and later that same year it won "Best German Film 2007" at the Interfilm Festival in Berlin, marking the standout achievement of her directing career.
