İsmail Küçükkaya — Biography

İsmail Küçükkaya was born in 1972 in Kütahya and studied journalism at Gazi University. He began his media career in 1991 as a reporter for the Hürriyet newspaper, later working at the Star and Sabah newspapers and writing a column for Akşam.

In 2003 he became the Ankara representative of SKYTÜRK television; from 2005 to 2008 he held the same role for the Akşam newspaper before rising to become its editor-in-chief. Since 2013 he has hosted the morning program Çalar Saat on Fox TV, becoming one of Turkish television's recognizable news anchors.

Over the course of his career he has also moderated high-profile live broadcasts, including a joint appearance of candidates during the 2019 İstanbul mayoral election process. In his private life, he is married to Eda Demirci.
