İsmail Konuk — Biography

İsmail Konuk is a Denizli-born defender who built a long career across Turkey's top flight and lower divisions. Most recently, in January 2025, he signed for Denizli İdmanyurdu.

He started out in the Denizlispor youth system and stepped up to the first team on a professional contract in 2006. His first Süper Lig match came on 18 April 2006 against Fenerbahçe, though he saw little playing time over the rest of that season. He was then loaned for a season each to İstanbulspor and Denizli Belediyespor to gain experience, returning to Denizlispor at the start of 2009-10. In 2012 he moved to Nazilli Belediyespor, where he made 27 appearances and scored once.

In September 2013 he signed a two-year deal with Süper Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor and played five league games in his first season there. He joined Bursaspor at the start of 2016-17; when the two parted in January 2018, the club published a thank-you message on its official website. He signed for Adana Demirspor that August and from 2020 played for second-tier Tuzlaspor, who agreed to continue with him in the summer of 2021. In January 2025 Denizli İdmanyurdu, the club of his home city, announced his signing as a reinforcement of its defence.
