İsmail Haktan Odabaşı — Biography

İsmail Haktan Odabaşı (born 7 August 1991 in Konak, İzmir) is a Turkish footballer who plays as a right winger. The Turkish Football Federation profiled him in 2011 under the headline "the wind on the right wing".

His career has been spent largely in the Turkish lower divisions: he joined Giresunspor in January 2016, parted with Denizlispor in November 2016 and then played for Manisaspor. He signed for Gaziantepspor in May 2018, returned to Boluspor later the same summer, and left that club in January 2019. The Turkish Wikipedia records him at third-tier Eskişehirspor, and in June 2024 he made statements welcomed by Eskişehirspor supporters.

In July 2017 Manisaspor dropped him from the squad over match-fixing allegations. The Professional Football Disciplinary Board announced its ruling in October 2017; press coverage that followed reported the outcome as good news for Manisaspor, and Odabaşı returned to play and continued his career.
