İskender Köksal — Biography

İskender Köksal (born 22 August 1981 in Istanbul) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a defender.

He began his professional career at Beşiktaş and afterwards played for Yalovaspor, Gebzespor, Yeniköyspor, Anadolu Üsküdar, Balıkesirspor, Kocaelispor and Konya Şekerspor; Arabic-language sources additionally record a spell at Körfez SK. Turkish sources, written while he was still playing, place him at Pendikspor in the White Group of the PTT 2. Lig.

Balıkesirspor appears twice in the standard list of his clubs, indicating two separate spells there. Having started out at one of Istanbul's biggest clubs, he spent the bulk of his career in the lower divisions with sides around Istanbul, Kocaeli and the wider Marmara region.
