İrem Derici — Biography

İrem Derici was born on 21 March 1987 in Istanbul. A graduate of the Sociology Department of İstanbul Bilgi University, she began making music at the age of sixteen, singing with the band Monopop in the clubs of Beyoğlu. She became widely known in 2011 through the competition O Ses Türkiye.

Derici stepped into professional music in 2012 with the single Bensiz Yapamazsın, a Melih Kibar composition, and made her breakthrough in 2013 with Düşler Ülkesinin Gel Git Akıllısı; her song Kalbimin Tek Sahibine climbed to number one on the charts and earned her the Best Breakthrough Artist award. After hits such as Zorun Ne Sevgilim, Neredesin Sen and Değmezsin Ağlamaya, she released the album Dantel in 2016 and sang the duet Kıymetlim with Mustafa Ceceli in 2017. In 2018 she took part in the series Jet Sosyete. Continuing her busy concert schedule, the singer made headlines in 2026 with the music video for her song Durum Çok Acil.
