İpek Tanrıyar — Biography

İpek Tanrıyar is an actress and model who has appeared in Turkish television series and films since the early 2000s. She reached her widest audience through her part in the music video for the artist Mutaf's song "Aişa", and her best-known screen characters include Ülger in Karaoğlan, Eylül in Serseri, Aslı in Sensiz Olmuyor and Firuze in Hayal ve Gerçek.

Her path also took in other fields alongside acting. She graduated from the Department of Tourism at Trakya University, worked for a modelling agency in Milan owned by a Turkish businessman, and was a hostess on the programme Şahane Pazar, presented by the Uygur brothers. She then put the emphasis on acting. Her filmography opens with Karate Can in 2000; in 2002 came Bir Tatlı Huzur, Karaoğlan and Belalım Benim, and in 2003 Serseri and Japonyalı Gelin. She also acted in the film Brindar.

In the years that followed she took part in Sensiz Olmuyor (2005), Sıla (2006), Hayal ve Gerçek and Fedai (2007) and Kendi Okulumuza Doğru (2008). She has a son and from time to time shares her experience of motherhood in interviews.
