İclâl Aydın — Biography
Born September 14, 1971, in Nevşehir to a Kurdish father and a mother of Circassian descent, İclal Aydın spent much of her childhood in Ankara after her family relocated for work, and boarded for a time at Elazığ Anadolu High School. She graduated from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography, and spent a period doing professional theatre work in Germany.
Moving into television in 1997, she rose to prominence in the series "Sıcak Saatler," hosted the women's talk show "2'den 4'e" on HBB, and in 1999 wrote and presented "Hayat Güzel" on BRT, earning an award for Best Morning Show of the year — an experience that led her to publish her first book. As an actress she became widely known for playing Ayda in the Star TV series "İki Aile" and Behice in the Kanal D series "Veda."
Married to writer Tuna Kiremitçi, İclal Aydın returned to the stage after a long break with the one-woman show "Ama Değil, Rağmen" in the 2025–2026 season, and continues to be recognized, through her books and interviews, as a writer read across three generations.
