İbrahim Öztürk — Biography

İbrahim Öztürk is a Turkish central defender whose career ran from the lower divisions to a Süper Lig title. He won league titles in four different divisions, Süper Lig included, and played in every professional league in Turkey. He was in the Bursaspor squad that won the championship in 2009-10 and is remembered as a former Bursaspor captain. Playing for Altay, he became the oldest player to score in Turkey's professional leagues.

He began at his hometown club Kayseri Erciyesspor, making 24 appearances there. In 2003 he moved to Karamanspor and won the Third League in 2003-04; he joined Kırıkkalespor in 2005 and spent 2006 on loan at Altay. He signed for Bursaspor in 2008 and extended his contract by two years in 2013. With Bursaspor he reached the finals of the Süper Kupa and the Turkish Cup. In January 2015 he moved to Sivasspor and won the First League in 2016-17. He returned to Altay in June 2017, won the Second League with them in 2017-18 and earned promotion to the First League through the play-offs in 2020-21. In January 2024, aged 43, he joined Talasgücü Belediyespor, and in September 2024 his retirement was announced.

He never played for a youth national team, but was called up to the senior national squad for the friendly against the Netherlands on 17 November 2010. Kayserispor is also among the clubs he played for.
