İbrahim Akdağ — Biography

İbrahim Akdağ is a 1.79 m midfielder born in the Fatih district of Istanbul who has played in several divisions of Turkish football. He came up through the academy of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor (today İstanbul Başakşehir) and appeared in the Süper Lig with Erzurumspor. At TFF 1. Lig side Ankara Keçiörengücü, whom he joined in July 2025, he is the captain; he is known for a combative style of play.

He started out in the youth setup of Yıldırım Bosnaspor and then moved to İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. In 2010 he signed a professional contract and was promoted to the first team, and although he joined the first team's preseason camps and some official matches, he mostly played for the A2 side, and in 2010-11 he was loaned to Pursaklarspor. After spending his early years on loan in the lower divisions he joined Ümraniyespor, where, despite being a midfielder, he was among the team's top scorers in his last two seasons. He transferred to Erzurumspor in 2018, and his first match with them was a 0-0 Süper Lig draw with Çaykur Rizespor on 24 August 2018.

His time at Ankaragücü ended in July 2021. He moved from Kayserispor to Eyüpspor in the summer of 2022 and parted ways with that club in August 2023. He signed for Sivasspor in February 2024 and for Iğdır FK in January 2025, and in July 2025 joined Ankara Keçiörengücü.
