Henry Turner — Biography

Henry Frank Turner was born on 18 August 1966 in Oakland, California, where he also spent his formative years. Standing 2.01 meters tall, he built his playing career primarily at the shooting guard and small forward positions.

After attending the Fremont Federation of high schools, Turner played college basketball at California State University, Fullerton before turning professional. Later in his career he obtained Turkish citizenship and continued his playing days in Turkey under the adopted name "Hakkı Uzun," a chapter that set him apart from most of his American peers.
