Hasan Cihat Örter — Biography
Hasan Cihat Örter (born 24 October 1958, Istanbul) is a Turkish composer, guitarist and arranger. He studied at the Berklee College of Music and at the Royal Conservatory of Liège.
Alongside his work as a classical and progressive guitarist, he has also performed as a pianist. He became widely known in his home country especially through his arrangements of traditional Turkish folk melodies.
Over his career he has released numerous albums and given concerts in Turkey and abroad; in 2024 his performances in Ordu again drew public attention.
