Halil İbrahim Eren was born on January 20, 1956, in Tekirdağ. A former Turkish international striker, he spent his entire playing career in the Süper Lig, scoring more than 100 league goals — a mark reached by only a handful of players — while earning eight caps for the national team.
He played for clubs including MKE Ankaragücü, Gençlerbirliği, Samsunspor, and Boluspor, where he is remembered as one of the club's all-time leading scorers across its 58-year history. After retiring as a player, he moved into coaching.
