Hakan Ateş — Biography

Hakan Ateş is a Turkish footballer born on 13 May 1988 in the Akhisar district of Manisa. He started out in the youth ranks of his hometown club, Akhisar Belediyespor, signing a professional contract there in 2007 and making his official debut that March in a third-tier match against Bursa Merinosspor. He went on to become a regular fixture in the starting line-up, and in the 2009–10 season he helped Akhisar Belediyespor finish as runner-up in the second division, earning promotion to the first tier. Later in his career he also played for TFF Second League side Tokatspor. Because Turkey has other well-known people who share his name, the footballer Hakan Ateş is sometimes confused with one of his namesakes online.
