Hakan Aslantaş — Biography

Hakan Aslantaş (born 26 August 1985) is a German-born Turkish footballer; Wikidata records both Turkish and German citizenship, and German and Russian sources describe him as Turkish-German. Most records - Wikidata, English and Russian Wikipedia and DBpedia - give Nürtingen as his birthplace, while German Wikipedia says Stuttgart. He stands 1.81 m tall.

His position is reported inconsistently: English Wikipedia calls him a right back, German Wikipedia describes midfield as his natural role with frequent use at left back, and Turkish Wikipedia lists defence and right midfield. Taken together the sources point to a versatile player able to fill in at full-back on either flank and to move into midfield.

In Turkey he played for Bursaspor (2012-2013), Gençlerbirliği, Kayserispor, Eskişehirspor (2018) and Kardemir Karabükspor, featuring for Bursaspor in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers in 2012. In a July 2020 interview with Milliyet he argued that Turkish players deserved greater recognition. Later frozen Wikipedia snapshots associate him with Iğdır FK and with Türkspor of Stuttgart.
