Güzide Alço is a footballer who grew up in Diyarbakır's women's football and for years played in defence for Amedspor. She also contributed goals as her team climbed from the lower leagues to the top flight, and she served as its captain. She now plays for Yüksekova in the Turkish Women's Football Super League.
She began playing football with boys in Diyarbakır. On 7 April 2011 she obtained her licence from the newly formed women's team of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Spor, a club later renamed Amedspor. She made her debut in the 2011-12 Women's Second League. The team dropped to the Third League in 2013-14, returned to the Second League at the end of 2015-16 and, the following season, won the title unbeaten to reach the First League. After finishing Diyarbakır Sport High School she studied physical education teaching at the Dicle University School of Physical Education and Sports.
Her national-team journey began in 2013 when she was called to a Turkey U-17 camp, though she was not selected. On 24 February 2014 she played for the Turkey U-19 side in a friendly against Azerbaijan, and in 2022 she was invited to a national-team camp. In 2024 she transferred to Azerbaijan's Neftchi PFK, played the same season at Hakkarigücü, and a season later moved to Yüksekova in the same province, which had been promoted to the Super League.
