Güven Yalçın — Biography

Güven Yalçın is a striker who was born and raised in Germany and has also played for the Turkey senior national team. He came through Bayer Leverkusen's academy, became a professional at Beşiktaş and played in Europe for Genoa; in the summer of 2026 he left Alanyaspor and joined Kasımpaşa.

Born in Düsseldorf, he started at VfL Benrath and in 2006 joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen, where he did most of his development. In 2016 he won the German title with Leverkusen's under-17s, scoring 12 goals in 26 matches, and played all six of the club's 2016-17 UEFA Youth League matches. He signed for Beşiktaş on 27 July 2018; his first official match was a Europa League qualifier against Partizan, and he made his league debut on 29 September against Kayserispor, replacing Ricardo Quaresma. In the second half of 2020-21 he was loaned to Lecce, which did not take up its purchase option, so he returned to Beşiktaş and won the 2021 Super Cup.

On 21 July 2022 he signed a three-year deal with Genoa, and in September 2023 he was loaned to Fatih Karagümrük until the end of the season. In July 2025 he signed a three-season contract with Alanyaspor, which was ended by agreement in July 2026. As a youth international he first played for Turkey's under-17s, turned out for Germany's under-18s against Austria on 17 April 2017, then chose Turkey again and played at the 2018 under-19 European Championship. He made his senior debut on 30 May 2019 in a friendly against Greece.
