Gökhan Türkmen — Biography

Gökhan Türkmen is a Turkish singer, songwriter, and producer born on September 1, 1983, in Istanbul. While performing in bars, his amateur 2005 song "Büyük İnsan" became a turning point after amassing millions of views on YouTube; he signed with İrem Records in late 2007 and released his self-titled debut album in 2008, winning Best Breakthrough Artist at the 37th Golden Butterfly Awards.

In 2010 he released Biraz Ayrılık, which included the Sezen Aksu-penned song "Yas," and in 2014 followed with En Baştan, led by the hit "Çatı Katı." Around the same time he founded his own label, GTR Müzik, served as a judge alongside Sibel Can and Sertab Erener on FOX's Sesi Çok Güzel in 2015, and produced the music for the series İnadına Aşk. In the years that followed he released the album Sessiz, the EPs Virgül and Az Biraz, and, in 2020, his fifth album, Romantik.

In the summer of 2026 he performed concerts in cities including Antalya, Bursa, and Kayseri, announced a new project titled Denk, and appeared on Forbes' list of top touring earners, keeping his music career firmly active.
