Gökhan Töre — Biography
Gökhan Töre (born 20 January 1992 in Cologne) is a Turkish-German former professional footballer who played as a winger or second striker. Listed at 1.76 m, he was capped more than 20 times by Turkey after making his debut in 2011.
He began his career in Germany, taking his first professional steps at Hamburger SV; some sources also record earlier spells at Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen. He moved to Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2012 but made only seven first-team appearances there, and in June 2013 joined Beşiktaş on loan. He signed permanently with the Istanbul club on a five-year deal in 2014, and also played for West Ham United and Yeni Malatyaspor.
Töre returned to Beşiktaş in September 2020 and later turned out for Adana Demirspor, MKE Ankaragücü and Konyaspor. He married the actress Esra Bilgiç.
