Gökhan Süzen — Biography

Gökhan Süzen was born on 12 July 1987 in Düzce. He came up through Galatasaray's youth academy and went on to play as a defender for clubs including Beşiktaş, Sivasspor, İstanbul Başakşehir and Gaziantepspor, also earning caps for Turkey's A2 national team.

In the early 2020s he joined Denizlispor, where he served as team captain; he renewed his contract in the summer of 2023 but was dropped from the squad that November. He returned to Denizlispor in January 2025, and reports soon after pointed to disputes within the club.

At the start of 2026, Süzen signed with second-tier club Altınordu, and his name featured prominently in coverage of a crisis at the club in January and February of that year.
