Gökhan Öztürk — Biography

Gökhan Öztürk is a midfielder who came up through the Galatasaray youth system and earned forty youth caps for Turkey. He left the big club's academy and moved to Gaziantepspor at a young age, then moved through the lower divisions and carried on at sides such as Tepecikspor and Ankara Demirspor.

Born in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, he began in 2000 in the youth ranks of Tepecik Belediyespor, joined Galatasaray a year later and spent his youth there. When his contract ended in 2009 he left Galatasaray and on 19 June 2009 signed a three-year deal with Gaziantepspor. In 2011-12 he was loaned to First League side Çaykur Rizespor, where he made seven appearances and scored once. In 2012-13 he moved to TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor and, after 11 league games, switched mid-season to Second League club Altınordu. In later years he also wore the colours of Tepecikspor and Ankara Demirspor.

With Turkey's youth teams he played 40 matches in total: two for the under-15s, 19 for the under-16s and 19 for the under-17s.
