Gökdeniz Bayrakdar — Biography

Gökdeniz Bayrakdar is a young footballer who plays on the right wing and can also operate as a striker or attacking midfielder. He scored against Beşiktaş in his first Süper Lig appearance, and after his years at Bodrum FK he moved to Göztepe in August 2026.

Bayrakdar began playing in the street and at nine was enrolled in a football school in his hometown of Kandıra; he played in the Yenişehirspor and Kandıra youth sides and caught the eye of Kocaelispor after three training sessions. After a year in the Kocaelispor academy he made his first-team debut on 30 August 2017 in a Turkish Cup tie against Düzcespor and scored his first goal on 15 October 2017 against Osmaniyespor. With Beşiktaş also interested, he joined Antalyaspor in the summer of 2020; on 19 September 2020 he came on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Beşiktaş and scored his team's only goal. In January 2023 he was loaned to Bodrum FK with an option to buy, celebrated a goal in his first game, a 3-1 win over Yeni Malatyaspor, and went on to stay with the club.

He has been capped for Turkey at U19 and U21 level. Usually used on the right wing, he tends to cut inside onto his left foot, using pace and dribbling to get past defenders, and has a pronounced instinct for goal.
