Gökay Iravul — Biography

Gökay Iravul is a midfielder who came through the Fenerbahçe academy and was billed in his teens as "Fenerbahçe's new hope". With Fenerbahçe he won the 2010-11 Süper Lig and the 2011-12 Turkish Cup, and he represented Turkey at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup; in later years he continued his career through loans and the lower leagues.

He began in the Denizlispor youth system in 2001, and Fenerbahçe scouts spotted him in a match between Denizlispor's and Fenerbahçe's B youth teams. He signed his first professional contract with Fenerbahçe on 3 July 2007; in 2008 he scored 3 goals in 29 matches for the Super Youth team and the next season 7 goals in 30 for the A2 side. He moved up to the first team on 15 January 2010, received his first senior call-up under Aykut Kocaman and made his official debut on 2 October 2010 against Gençlerbirliği, replacing Mamadou Niang in the 88th minute. In 2010-11 he made 11 Süper Lig appearances.

In July 2012 Fenerbahçe loaned him for a year to First League side Manisaspor. In 2013 he was loaned to Adana Demirspor, where he played 12 matches in the first half of the season and made one assist, before going back to Manisaspor at the mid-season break. His career also included Gaziantep and Alanyaspor; he signed for Ergene Velimeşespor in 2021, then played for Belediye Kütahyaspor and Amasyaspor, and moved to Torbalıspor in İzmir in September 2025.
