Gizem Gönültaş — Biography

Gizem Gönültaş (born 13 July 1993 in Ordu) is a Turkish women's footballer. She took up the game in her home province on the Black Sea coast, appeared for Orduspor, and later continued her career in Istanbul, where she studied at Marmara University.

Gönültaş spent much of her career with the women's team of Beşiktaş, wearing the number 10 shirt. Sources describe her variously as a midfielder and as a forward, reflecting a role that shifted between the centre of the pitch and the attack. Newspapers in Ordu reported that she extended her contract with the club in July 2024.

She came up through the Turkish national set-up at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level before being called into the senior Turkey women's team, and has also spoken publicly about the visibility of women's football in Turkey.
