Gizem Başaran — Biography
Gizem Başaran Turan (born 28 September 1992 in Istanbul) is a Turkish national basketball player who plays center and stands 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in) tall. Over the course of her career she has represented leading clubs in the Turkish Women's Basketball Super League, playing for Galatasaray in the 2021–2022 season before moving on to Beşiktaş.
Başaran tested positive for COVID-19 in 2021 and later returned to the court; by 2024 her name was also being linked with Beşiktaş's basketball schools academy.
