Ferman Akgül — Biography
İbrahim Ferman Akgül (born 25 December 1979, Ankara) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. A graduate of Gazi University, he has served as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band maNga since 2002, and was part of the lineup that finished runner-up at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Beyond his work with the band, he has also released a solo album, Yürüyorum İçimde.
Alongside his music career, Akgül has continued to write, publishing the book Osmanlı Cadısı Tırnova in early 2026 and later that year drawing attention for song interpretations inspired by the poetry of Refik Durbaş.
In recent years he has relocated abroad with his family while continuing to perform in Turkey with both maNga and his solo projects, including a 2026 concert in Şanlıurfa; reports also indicated that he got married that year.
