Ferhat Bıkmaz — Biography

Ferhat Bıkmaz (born 6 July 1988 in Hanover) is a German-born Turkish footballer. Most sources give 6 July as his date of birth; the 6 June found in the Turkish encyclopedia entry contradicts them and is in the minority. He holds both Turkish and German citizenship, and German-language sources describe him as a German-Turkish player.

He is a midfielder who also covers left back and has played in a holding role in front of the defence. After Hannover 96 he moved to Turkey, turning out for Sivasspor and Akhisar Belediyespor. The English encyclopedia entry that has him playing midfield for OSV Hannover is a frozen snapshot and no longer current.

At international level he represented Turkey at under-17, under-19, under-20 and under-21 level; Turkish Football Federation announcements place him in the under-19 squad in 2007 and in the A2 national team's training camp in 2013.
