Fatma Turgut — Biography

Fatma Turgut (born 2 January 1984 in Aydın Province) is a Turkish rock musician, singer, composer and lyricist. After finishing her schooling in Aydın she entered the classical guitar department of Dokuz Eylül University in 2003, graduating in 2010. Her studies covered polyphonic choir, voice and both Turkish and Western harmony, and between 2005 and 2008 she taught classical guitar and choir at a private music school.

In 2007 she joined A Due Carmen as vocalist, the band that would later be renamed Model. With the group she released the albums Perili Sirk (2009), Diğer Masallar (2011) and Levlâ'nın Hikâyesi (2013) and performed extensively across Turkey. She subsequently pursued a solo career; her IMDb credits also place her in the music department of productions such as the series Leyla ile Mecnun and on a handful of feature films.

Through the 2020s she has kept a dense concert schedule at festivals throughout the country, playing in 2026 at events in Bodrum, Gebze, Bursa and Manisa and at the Van Culture Road Festival. In the same period she publicly answered criticism directed at Model's reunion.
