Fatih Tekke — Biography
Born on 9 September 1977 in Trabzon and nicknamed "Sultan" during his playing days, Fatih Tekke is a former Turkish international footballer who currently serves as head coach of Süper Lig club Trabzonspor.
He began his professional career in Trabzonspor's youth ranks and went on to play ten seasons for the club, finishing as the Süper Lig's top scorer in the 2004–05 season. He later played for Altay, Gaziantepspor and Beşiktaş in Turkey, as well as spending four seasons in Russia with Zenit St. Petersburg and Rubin Kazan, winning the Russian league title with Zenit in 2007 and the UEFA Cup in 2008. Tekke earned 25 caps for the Turkey national team before retiring from playing in 2012.
After his playing career he moved into coaching, eventually taking charge of his hometown club Trabzonspor, where in the summer of 2026 he has been overseeing squad planning and transfer activity ahead of the new season.
