Fatih Portakal — Biography

Fatih Portakal was born in 1968 in Nazilli, Aydın. He completed his education at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of İstanbul University. Beginning his career as a trainee reporter in 1996, Portakal first started working as a staff member at Star TV, and then in 2006 he joined the Kanal D news team of Mehmet Ali Birand and Ayşenur Arslan. He worked as a news reporter and for 8 months hosted the program Fatih Portakal'la Konuşan Türkiye on Best FM. After hosting the program Ne Yapmalı? on Kanal D in 2009, he moved to Fox TV in 2010, where he presented the morning news program Çalar Saat. He still works at Fox TV and presents the main news bulletin. Fatih Portakal works as a lecturer at İstanbul Aydın University, teaching a course on Investigative Journalism; at the Medya Mektebi school he teaches lessons on Style in News Presentation.
