Fatih Kuruçuk — Biography

Fatih Kuruçuk is a Turkish defender, born in the Balçova district of İzmir, who plays at centre-back and stands out for his 1.92 m frame. The defining stretch of his career came at Fatih Karagümrük: he played through the club's rise to the Süper Lig and made his Süper Lig debut in its colours. A youth international for Turkey, he moved to Hatayspor in June 2021 on a two-year contract.

He came up through the youth system at Bucaspor and began his professional career at Göztepe in July 2015. He went on loan to Fethiyespor in January 2017, and in May 2018 he and Göztepe parted ways by mutual agreement. In August 2018 he joined Fatih Karagümrük on a one-year contract, later extended to May 2021, and he made 83 appearances up to the club's promotion to the Süper Lig in 2019-20. His first Süper Lig match was a 1-1 draw with Sivasspor on 21 November 2020. On 2 June 2021 he signed for Hatayspor on a two-year contract, and he later wore the Fatih Karagümrük shirt again and spent a spell on loan at Sarıyer.

He played for Turkey's under-21 side and, with the Turkey U23 team, won the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games.
