Faruk Yiğit — Biography
Faruk Yiğit (born 15 April 1968 in Trabzon) is a Turkish former international footballer and coach who played as a forward.
During his career he featured for clubs including Orhangazi Gençlerbirliği, Yalovaspor, Boluspor, Kocaelispor, Fenerbahçe, Ankaragücü and Diyarbakırspor, becoming most closely associated with Kocaelispor, where he spent many years. With his shoulder-length hair and full beard he stood out for his unconventional appearance at the time.
He was part of the Turkey squad at UEFA Euro 1996 but did not make an appearance during the tournament. After retiring as a player, he worked as a coach.
