Evren Büker — Biography

Evren Büker is a Turkish basketball player known as a versatile swingman, able to play both guard and forward. Born in Bursa and standing 1.94 metres tall, he is the brother of Serhat Büker, who once played for Trabzonspor. One of the later stops of his career was his home-city club Bursaspor Basketbol.

He started playing at the Yeşimspor academy. In 2006 he moved to Oyak Renault, taking his first professional step, and stayed three years. In 2009 he joined Galatasaray Cafe Crown, and together with his spell at Galatasaray Medical Park he spent three seasons at Galatasaray. He then moved to Pınar Karşıyaka, where in a single season he averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the league and 5.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in the Eurochallenge.

Before the 2013-14 season he signed a 2+1 year contract with Tofaş. He agreed terms with Beşiktaş for 2015-16, but the contract was terminated before he played an official game, and he then agreed a deal with his former club Türk Telekom, where he wore number 9. In December 2018 he joined Bursaspor Basketbol. In 2014 he also criticised the Turkish Basketball Federation's policy on foreign players.
